Verdict

LAUGH ALOUD was seriously impressive when running away with a Listed contest at Goodwood and could prove to be a cut above these. Elbereth ran with some credit upped to Group level last time but she looks relatively exposed and all of her wins have come over further, while Czabo, who has Group-winning form, won’t appreciate these underfoot conditions. Absolute Blast has a consistent record and can make the frame, as can Silver Step, assuming that she bounces back from her poor showing in the Dahlia Stakes. Urban Fox, who was badly hampered in the 1,000 Guineas can’t be entirely discounted.
