In depth

Verdict

Kap Jazz took a while to master Some Are Lucky at Ludlow but was going away at the finish so the step up in trip shouldn’t be a problem. He has every chance of completing the hat-trick, though hasn’t performed well in either previous start here. Bindon Mill won a novices’ handicap over course and distance in January but was put up 10lb for that, though has only had two runs over fences. Capard King has dropped to a fair mark judged on his latest third at Ludlow but veteran Court By Surprise is struggling for form and Pithivier was pulled up at Doncaster last month when a well-backed favourite. THEMANFROM MINELLA is a speculative selection at likely decent odds. He was still prominent approaching the home turn when Max Kendrick was knocked out of the saddle at Wincanton 12 days ago and he won on his last visit to the track.
