Verdict

Kapgarde King has won two of his three chase starts and was second in the other. He is creeping up the weights but that’s only to be expected and another big run is anticipated. Bacchanel was second at Warwick last month but the winner did nothing for the form at Newcastle on Saturday. King Charlie and Touch Screen could be interesting nearer the foot of the handicap but Knight Ofthe Realm is having problems with his jumping. DAY OF ROSES was largely disappointing over hurdles but this should be more his game as he’s already won a point-to-point.
