Verdict

The classy HARRY TRICKER is given the verdict on his chasing debut. Rated 138 over hurdles, he has not had the busiest of years having had his career interrupted by injury. However he has the scope to make an impact over the bigger obstacles and is marginally preferred to Pepe Simo. This looks a two-horse race with Paul Nicholls' gelding rated 140 over hurdles after a fine novice campaign. His best effort was a third-placed finish in the Imperial Cup at Sandown and he strikes as the sort to do well over fences. Quedillac has run twice over fences with some promise but he might lack the class of his rivals, although Tim Vaughan seemed keen to keep hold of the gelding when sold off by Harry Findlay earlier in the year.
