Verdict

This has proved a benefit for Dermot Weld as he's trained an incredible twelve of the last sixteen winners. TANDEM is the one entrusted to keep up the sequence and has to be the selection after an excellent debut when beaten half-a-length by Loreto at Naas. The winner runs in the 6.00 and can give the form a boost though there doesn't look too many dangers. Curia Regis had some strong juvenile form but hasn't quite got his act together this season though there's plenty of time and he hasn't performed badly. Exact cost 125,000gns and is related to several winners. He was beaten a long way on his debut at Navan but didn't enjoy the testing ground and should be more at home in these conditions.
