Verdict

Alveena, a course and distance winner last September, has since won strong handicaps at Leopardstown and Cork and ran a fine race when tackling 1m6f in a Group 2 at the Curragh last month. She has an obvious chance but QUEEN ALPHABET (NAP) arrives in brilliant form. Peter Fahey's mare has been raised 12lb for her easy victory at Gowran last week and can race here with a 5lb penalty so will take the world of beating. Ringside Humour is a smart handicapper in good heart who found a mile too short when a very good sixth behind Creggs Pipes here on Tuesday and should be thereabouts while Abraham is a progressive stayer who will be well suited by the expected strong gallop. Travertine was staying on strongly behind Ringside Humour over 1m2f at the Curragh and the former French winner would have a chance if the ground turned testing.
