Lovelace had more in hand than the winning margin might suggest at Newcastle last month but this is a better race and he is taken on with ORDNANCE ROW, although Marching looks an interesting rival as well. Richard Hannon's gelding put in two shockers behind Confront at the end of last season but he had plenty of races and was perhaps coming to the end of his tether. Fresh after a winter break he should have more to give and with a solid record at this time of year it's entirely plausible that he can win his ninth race of an excellent career. Mia's Boy won't mind what the weather does and comes here in great form after a second to Fanunalter at Doncaster, Tombi was well-thought-of as a youngster but 2009 was another hit-and-miss year for him, so a bigger threat may be Welsh Emperor who can be a hard front-runner to pass when on song. Marching was not in scintillating form in Dubai over the winter but his yard have made a bright start to training over here and he is far from discounted, along with Georgebernardshaw. He was last seen tailed off in the Juddemonte International at York but has since joined a new yard and may yet fulfil his potential over this more realistic trip. Nothing rock solid here, but a chance is taken on Ordnance Row.
