Verdict

Kingscroft is 8lb higher than when winning this 12 months ago but did win at Wolverhampton in April off a mark of 75. Finn Class only found one too good at Ayr last time and should be thereabouts again but SIMPLY SHINING look the one to beat. The excellent Sammy Jo Bell was on board when he won on fast ground at Doncaster and Thirsk in the spring and his latest fourth in a higher grade here wasn't a bad effort. Berrahri steps up a grade after his second at Lingfield while Berlusca's win here last year came on a much softer surface.
