Verdict

CAIUS MARCIUS was an odds-on favourite when only third on his hurdling debut at Newcastle last month but he'll strip fitter and know more today and should be too strong for consistent previous winner Sakhee's City in receipt of 6lb. It's difficult to make a case for many of the others but the four-year-old Hubal, placed several times on the Flat in France, may have scope for improvement and With Hindsight is fit from an all-weather campaign.
