Verdict

A good start to the card with Beherayn taken to land the contest at the expense of Cortinas and Atomic Winner put up as the dangers. Henry Daly's charge was given too much rope by his opposition at Taunton last time out and while the penalty accrued will make things difficult, with the going producing no obvious problems, he is taken to follow up. Cortinas is another under a penalty. Course-and-distance winners regularly do well around here so expect another late show from this hold-up performer. Atomic Winner could not make a third winner on the bounce when tried at Ludlow. The filly is unproven on quick going. Fresh Air And Fun was touted as a fair horse in his bumper years but hasn't gone on. That said, AP McCoy is riding tonight so it would be no surprise to see support for him. Mount Usher hasn't pulled up any trees on three starts over hurdles. Chan Bahlum was beaten by platers last time out whilst Zafonical Storm, who had bits and pieces of form in handicaps on the flat, is one to note in the market. Wolf Warning does not look to be one of David Pipe's better hurdlers. Behrayn is taken to land the opener.
