Verdict

Attain was given a lovely ride by Simon Walker to win an amateur riders' handicap here recently with the step up in trip clearly aiding his cause. This extra furlong should not prove an inconvenience but this does rate a tougher task off topweight. Thomas Blossom has every chance if turning out just two days after a really solid effort when only beaten under a length at Kempton by Canadian Diamond. However he drops 3f in trip here and may have to settle for place money once again. BURNSIDE is still a maiden after 10 starts on the level but there appears nothing wrong with his attitude despite three runner-up finishes in his last four starts. He may prove better suited to this trip than Thomas Blossom and should go very close with Adam Kirby booked for the first time. Halling's Wish has place claims but is hard to catch right.
