This is a tricky apprentice handicap to close the card and the vote is given to CAVALRY GUARD over Party In The Park and Bold Diva. The selection has got course and distance winning form here, and although that was his sole success in 23 starts on the all-weather, he has been knocking at the door of late. He wasn't beaten far behind Bold Rose when last seen out and he gets on well with Amy Scott and he looks poised to run a big race. Party In The Park is another who has been running with a good level of consistency but he keeps finding one too good. That was the case again over this course and distance last time and he has now finished second in five of his last six starts. Bold Diva has managed to get her head in front only once in 39 starts and she has yet to score over this trip, so although she has an each-way chance the percentage call would be to take her on. Dynamo Dave has won over the course and distance and he went close here last time. He is best off a strong pace so if he gets the gallop that he needs he could go well here. Clerical went close at Kempton three starts ago but his overall form leaves him with a little to find, and in a race where it is hard to be too confident about any of them, we will return to Cavalry Guard as the pick.
