    Verdict

Nicky Henderson loves sending horses here and has several chances today, starting with PROBLEMA TIC. Unbeaten in bumpers at Towcester and Aintree, Sir Robert Ogden's French-bred made a very encouraging start over timber at Southwell and looks destined for much better things. Saint Are is penalised for landing a minor race in France and started 100/1 on his UK debut at Cheltenham where he ran well for a long way over the 2m5f. Dear Sam had no answer to the high-class Cue Card on his hurdling bow at Aintree and was beaten when at odds-on over today's C&D subsequently where a last-flight error put paid to his chances. The lightly-raced winning bumper Hudibras may prove best of the remainder.
