BECUILLE is our selection in the finale with Eastern Gift and Hallingdal others to note. The booking of Louis-Phillipe Beuzlin is an eyecatching one by Brian Meehan and with the horse recently obliging at Yarmouth, if he can handle the surface today, he has a big shout of a follow up. Eastern Gift was very well backed in an amateur riders event at Brighton. The front pair in that race were some way clear of the remainder. Hallingdal is a regular in events of this nature. She is effective anywhere between eight and ten furlongs so the trip will be of little consequence. Potentiale drops in trip having raced over further. His consistency offers the handicapper very little room to drop him down the weights. Candy Rose appears to get on well with this rider and is one to note if the market acts positively. Merrycapman won off a mark of 66 at Salisbury though has struggled to progress beyond that performance in recent weeks. Becuille rates as our idea of the winner albeit to a minimum level of stakes.
