In depth

Verdict

Bosset was good value for his win here last month and holds solid claims even off an 8lb higher mark so he gets the vote ahead of Ans Bach and Intrepid Jack. The last mentioned has been running well in defeat of late and will not mind any rain that falls so has to be respected. Polar Magic is another that would not mind any further softening of the ground but James Fanshawe's gelding may be a shade high in the weights, while Obe Brave is less exposed than most but does need to improve to trouble the judge. Recent Sandown winner Ans Bach would have solid claims if the rain stays away but Bosset is seemingly effective on all ground and he looks the safest option.
