Etlaala has bounced back to form this term but has been found wanting in similar company of late and may be booked for a place at best so a safer bet looks to be Caradak, who is preferred to Jeremy. The selection made a winning debut for Godolphin when landing a conditions race over course and distance last month and, with plenty more to come he looks worth a bet to follow up. John Dunlop's Jedburgh lost no caste in defeat behind Iffraaj in the Lennox Stakes last time and has to be respected over his ideal trip, while Sir Xaar needs to improve and would not want any further softening of the ground. Welsh Emperor would have claims if the ground changed dramatically although more solid claims are held by Jeremy, who is closely matched with Jedburgh on running last time. Caradak has an obvious chance though and he gets the vote to follow up his recent course and distance success.
