In depth

Verdict

This looks a strong renewal with the weights headed by Law And Order, who won over course and distance as a juvenile and has his sights lowered. Thomas Cranmer never looked like being caught at Musselburgh last week but all of his wins have come on turning tracks. Juanito Chico won a competitive handicap at Epsom eight days ago and arrives in peak form but OMRAN is less exposed and overcome a tardy start at Newcastle last time to easily beat older horses. He’s been raised 9lb for that but is potentially group class. Six Strings beat a subsequent winner at Newcastle in November but is having hits first run since while Ejaaby has been a beaten favourite in all three starts on Turf. This is a massive step up for Harmonise who won on soft going on the Rowley Mile last month.
