Verdict

Sheikhman has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his wins at Sedgefield and here last season and, despite running encouragingly on his reappearance, he looks booked for a place at best again and a better bet looks to be SWEET WORLD who is preferred to Raise Again. The last mentioned showed improved form at Stratford last month and he has solid claims on that evidence but a 5lb rise for that looks harsh so he may have to settle for minor honours. Another Bottle has not raced over hurdles for some time but does come here fit from the flat, while Colin Tizzard's Jackers looks plenty high enough in the weights for his debut in a handicap. David Pipe's Shannersburg has been fairly well held in all three starts over hurdles but may do better now running in a handicap for the first time. Preference though is for John Llewellyn's Sweet World, who has been running consistently well of late and he looks worth siding with off what seems a fair mark.
