Tim Vaughan's Irish import Rockys Choice probably has the best form among those to have raced previously over hurdles and he may do well on his first start for new connections having not been seen since August but it may be worth taking a chance with the hurdling newcomer MISSISSIPPIAN, who gets the vote over Rapid City. Jim Best's gelding is another making his debut over timber and he has to be respected having been running well on the flat of late. Aypeeyes, a selling winner at Bath last month, disappointed on his latest start over timber and looks best watched at present. Colin Tizzard's The Kiwi Matriarch has been well held in all four starts and makes no real appeal in a race taken to go to Mississippian. Charlie Mann's gelding had no success on the flat in America but the switch to hurdling may be the making of him and, from an in-form stable, he looks worth siding with.
