    Verdict

Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and this looks a good opportunity for Avitta to enhance her growing reputation as a promising juvenile hurdler. The Venetia Williams-trained filly was a middle distance maiden winner on the Flat in her native France before creating a good impression when an easy winner on her hurdling debut over this trip at Fakenham last month. Proven in testing conditions and open to plenty of improvement, the daughter of Pennekamp will be extremely hard to beat in this company. Carly Bay showed some ability in bumpers but has ben disappointing over timber to date while Burgundy Lace was slammed by the selection last time. Mini Handy makes a quick reappearance after failing to stay 22f last time and may be the one for the forecast if able to reproduce previous form with the services of A P McCoy.
