Michael Murphy rode Shanghai Glory into second at Salisbury and keeps the ride though there was some cut in the ground that day as there was for his only victory at Nottingham a year ago. FLOWING CLARETS has only run three times, making a successful debut at Leicester in October and reappearing with a narrow defeat over 5f here in April where she stayed on after missing the break. She's up 3lb but there's a good chance she'll prove much better than this. Dodgy Bob landed a maiden here last May and returned to winning ways at Hamilton last month when staying on strongly after leading at the furlong pole. Van Gerwen was having only his fifth start and racing over this trip for the first time when scoring at Thirsk and a 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another big effort.
