CARPE VITA stayed on very strongly to land a 1m6f Redcar handicap in August and his two subsequent runs have been over shorter. He loves fast ground and this sort of trip should bring out the best in him. Rock On Bollinski has done his winning on much softer ground though if the going eases he would have to be a major threat. Stormin Tom has had nine runs since his last victory over 1m4f on this track and keeps going up in the weights without winning. The veteran Hallstatt only had two opponents to beat when landing a Class 4 handicap at Nottingham and if that was no fluke he would have to be considered from just 1lb higher.
