Verdict

It's a toughie to finish but with James Sullivan riding really well at the moment we side with his mount NINTH HOUSE marginally over fellow last time out winners Ivestar and Celtic Step. The pick capped a progressive run of form with a late show to get up close home last time out. He wasn't stopping that day so looks fairly treated under this revised weight and if he improves again he could win well. Ivestar was also only up in the nick of time the last time we saw him. Ben Haslam's runner hasn't had a great deal of racing recently and that was his best since retuning from over a year out. Celtic Step is turned out under a penalty but unlike the pair we've just mentioned he only just held on for his score so the extra weight might make all the difference. Wovoka represents the trainer who won this race last year and he's beginning to look very light in the handicap but in probably the toughest race of the meeting Ninth House is taken to go in again.
