Verdict

Special Miss came good over a shorter trip here last month. She carries a 6lb penalty but Cam Hardie's claim negates most of that. First Port is a Sandown specialist but is much better when the mud is flying and has never won over this trip. Croquembouche is showing signs of recapturing last year's decent form and is a threat but FASTNET RED was a fair third on his handicap debut at Newbury and should have more to offer. He gets 3lb from Newmarket second Indian Trifone and that may be enough for him to come out on top.
