In depth

Verdict

Michael Dods has a couple of decent chances on today's card and The Osteopath could be the second leg of a double here, with Rubenstar, Zabeel House, Aspen Falls, Another Genepi and Mujood others considered. The selection won a 7f handicap at Ayr last time but his trainer says his optimum trip is a mile and being by Danehill Dancer he should handle faster ground well. He is upped a fair 4lb for that success and can follow up. Rubenstar steps up to this trip for the first time and that can elicit some improvement from him as one who handles conditions. Zabeel House has run in Group 3 company in the past but looks tripless at present and in the grip of the handicapper. Aspen Falls is tried again at the trip after failing previously and has something to prove, Another Genepi has the profile of an improver as a lightly raced sort who is bred to go a mile, while Mujood looks best of the rest with experience after finishing well at Kempton last time off this mark and over this trip. Consistency is not his bag though and we prefer The Osteopath to work his magic.
