Ogbourne Downs had been on an upward curve until fifth of seven behind Lawyer over 1m at Windsor this month, which still stands as an acceptable performance. He should be one to note here but does face a couple of interesting 3-y-os representing yards notably adept with late-maturing, lightly-raced improvers. Matravers took time to get on top at Leicester over 7f last time in an ordinary affair and should definitely progress again over this additional furlong for Sir Michael Stoute, whilst ALKETIOS has improved with each run and was comfortably in charge of a 1m Haydock maiden at the business end last month. The Cumani colt is a slight preference as he rated just the more impressive of the pair last time but there should be little between them.
