      Verdict

A couple of these were pulled out of recent engagements when the rain arrived and look the ones to concentrate on now. Crystal Lake has enjoyed a good season so far and performed well in good-class handicaps the last twice but PROVENANCE is preferred in the belief that she's open to considerable progression after only two outings, especially as she almost certainly wasn't seen to best effect last time when too keen in a small field over 1m. Sir Michael Stoute applies a first-time hood now on the daughter of Galileo, who hopefully will get a good pace over this furlong shorter trip, which was not the case last time. Pageant Belle and Zain Empire are the other surefire, lightly-raced improvers on display and add further spice to a pretty hot contest.
