Verdict

It's hard to get away from last week's course and distance winner Speed Song. Monsieur Reynard and Blue Jack may be the ones to give her most to do. Magical Speedfit and Ten Down were amongst those behind last week and it's difficult to envisage them reversing the form despite the swing in the weights. William Haggas' filly made light of her low draw by coming home with a wet sail to win in the style of a smart performer and can follow up. Monsieur Reynard has been running well for Brian Meehan but appears to be held by the handicapper and will need to find a bit for the change of scenery. Blue Jack only narrowly missed last time and the handicapper has taken a chance in leaving him alone but he doesn't have anywhere near the same scope for improvement as the selection. Speed Song should prove hard to beat.
