Frognal's experience means that he's preferred to Five Star Junior and Qalahari. Brian Meehan's juveniles usually make significant improvement from their initial outings and this son of Kheleyf showed more than enough at Sandown to suggest that he can win an ordinary maiden. He ran green at the Esher venue but will know more now and can overcome his high draw and enhance his trainer's good strike rate at the track. Five Star Junior was a relatively expensive buy earlier in the year and is related to a number of winners in the US. Simon Callaghan has a good strike rate with his juveniles and houses some useful ones; Jamie Spencer was booked to ride at the five day stage and it would be no surprise to see him run well. Qalahari sets the standard on form having gone close on both starts, including over course and distance. She looks sure to be in the mix again whilst Cheap Thrills, Cash In The Attic and Robin The Till are others that feature on the radar but Frognal is preferred.
