Verdict

Danish Monarch may be able to reign in a tricky seller and confine Hester Brook and Fairly Honest to bit part roles yet again. The selection came back to form in a Lingfield seller last time when just failing to make every post a winning one. He has successfully employed similar tactics in this grade over course and distance in the past and is well drawn to do so again. Hester Brook has proved to be remarkably versatile with placed efforts between seven furlongs and a mile and a half in her last four starts. However, that also highlights her lack of a finishing kick and she remains vulnerable despite some admirable performances. Fairly Honest has also been knocking on the door of late and should make another bold bid for the top prize. He is another that usually races up with the pace but he has run his best races at Brighton of late and it remains to be seen how he fares at this track. If the front runners go off at a furious pace then it could set the race up for a finisher such as Escobar or Beckenham's Secret but we'll be hoping that Fergus Sweeney gets the fractions right and has enough up his sleeve to get Danish Monarch in front on the line.
