Verdict

RENNETI arrived from France with a big reputation which looked perfectly justified when he won his maiden by a long way then was just touched off by The Tullow Tank in the Grade 1 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse. He fell when clear on his next start before digging his heels in and refusing to race back at Fairyhouse. That was in April of last year but hopefully his trainer will have sorted him out and he's an exciting prospect. Arnaud is much better known as a useful chaser and arrives in winning form. He's reverted to hurdles with a victory in the past so will be no pushover. Il Fenomeno has won some decent races over hurdles but his chasing career has been a disappointment though he'll no doubt be back over fences before long. Voluptueux looked a smart hurdling prospect on fast ground last summer before running a shocker on easier ground in this race a year ago and hasn't been seen since.
