Verdict

UNCLE BRIT is put forward to fly the flag here at the main expense of Nchike and Iron Out. Course and distance winner Echo Dancer also has claims. Sir Mark Prescott's three-year-old has looked much improved recently and is a very speedy sort. He'll need to get off to a decent start here but he looked a decent type when last seen here and any improvement should see him go close. It should be fairly close out at the front with Nchike expected to be the selections biggest danger. The David Nicholls-trained gelding has been running with credit recently without winning and deserves respect here. He has not tasted victory for almost a year now but on the evidence of his recent form he should be capable of making the money. Iron Out followed up a win at Leicester with an impressive effort when runner up over course and distance last time out. He runs off the same mark today and should again give a good account for himself, although he is likely to be held by the two earlier mentioned. A market check is strongly advised for this race but we will side with Uncle Brit.
