In depth

Verdict

Stanley George gets the confident vote here over Bert's Memory and Go Dude. The selection showed enough last time at Wolverhampton when he finished a close second behind History Boy to make him the one to beat today. He is lightly-raced and nominal improvement will make him tough to beat. Bert's Memory showed she stays this trip when finishing second behind Letham Island last time. That was her first run here so we know she handles the surface okay and she will not be far away at the finish. Go Dude is another who looks to be going the right way and he lost no caste in defeat behind Summer Dancer at Kempton last time. Bear Essential is the only newcomer in the race and is worth a look in the market, but for the winner we are happy to stick with Stanley George.
