Verdict

SAXONA appeals as the one to be on in the bumper. The Grassy, who won an Irish point 37 days ago, and Bradley are others to keep tabs on. The last-named represents a yard very capable of getting one ready at the first time of asking. On paper this fellow isn't the most exciting prospect Nigel Twiston-Davies will send out this season, but he is dropped into shallow waters for his debut and it will be interesting to see how he gets on. The Grassy is basically Flat-bred but did manage to win between the flags at Kirkistown last month. He completes an interesting book of rides for Tony McCoy and is one to seriously consider if the vibes are right. However Saxona has experience of this course and, as she gets a very handy 7lb mares allowance, she has been presented with a live chance of getting off the mark today.
