Verdict

Dalmo made hay in lower grade contests when rattling up a hat-trick before blowing out in a much better Uttoxeter handicap at Class 3 level. He drops down a level now and it's interesting that his shrewd yard has chosen to go to the well once again. He is shortlisted. Seven Summits has claims if forgiven his last run, comments that can also be applied to MOUNT VESUVIUS. The latter makes plenty of appeal as he's done well under the tutelage of Paul Henderson and has actually dropped 4lb in the weights over this last three starts primarily as a result of a strangely below par effort last time. Forgiven that, he looks on a decent mark and should be a leading player. Tenby Jewel went close last time at Kempton and is a main contender if in the same form now, especially with Mark Gillard having secured the services of the champion jockey.
