Verdict

Chantecler has looked happier back on the Flat after abortive period over timber and has decent claims in an open if modest finale. Officer Drivel is limited but hasn't been running too badly and Druot may have more to offer off the bottom perch. Confirmed frontrunner GLENS WOBBLY (NAP) seems sure to give it his best shot and is respected for his consistency in this field. He has gone down fighting in Newbury handicaps the last twice, is very much at home on good to firm ground and few of his rivals turn up in good form. Song And Dance Man remains very lightly-raced on the grass and is a possible but does need to put a poor latest effort behind him when last of eight at Chelmsford after being supported into favouritism.
