In depth

Verdict

Deuxieme has proven expensive to follow but Roger Charlton's filly gained an overdue first success when landing a course and distance maiden here last month and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Dutch Key Card and Global Achiever. The last mentioned has been in good from since reverting to the minimum trip and has to be respected back over six furlongs today although it may be that the son of Key Of Luck is better over five. John Hills does well with his runners here and Landucci is an interesting runner dropping back a furlong today. Only If I Laugh is closely matched with Global Achiever on running here at the beginning of the month and cannot be discounted with the Paul Blockley stable in such good form. Bee Minor is slipping to a fair mark but lacks experience of the surface and a bigger threat may come from Dutch Key Card. Gerard Butler's gelding showed promise in Ireland and has wasted no time in opening his account in this country. He has to be respected but Deuxieme looked to get the hang of things last time and gets the vote to follow up.
