Verdict

Scrutinise, a useful middle-distance performer on the Flat, is probably the one with most scope in this and the type to improve with further experience. Beallandendall has a chance at the weights while Harry Skelton is reunited with Excellent Team having already won twice on the gelding. AMBRE DES MARAIS is on a roll, however, and Johnny Farrelly’s charge is worth sticking with despite a step up in class and the handicap. The Kid was given a superb ride by young James Bowen here last time but is a bit of enigma and 6lb higher now.
