South Africa claimed revenge on England to win the Sydney Sevens and continue their dominance of the IRB World Series.
The Blitzboks had been beaten by England during the pool stage but proved far too strong in a one-sided final, scoring five tries in a 29-14 victory.
It was their third tournament victory from four during the 2016/17 season, with their only defeat having come on home soil when England beat them 19-17 in the final in Cape Town.
England made it to the final with a win over Argentina in the last-eight and a gutsy 12-5 success against defending champions New Zealand in the semi-finals, when they came from 5-0 down to prevail thanks to tries from Phil Burgess and Ollie Lindsay-Hague.
South Africa powered past Argentina before knocking out hosts Australia 26-12 in the semis, with Seabelo Senatla showing off the skills that would prove to be too much for England.
Captain Philip Snyman opened the scoring in the first minute and England were three tries down by half-time with Senatla and JG Geduld also crossing to make it 19-0.
Geduld's second try made it a 24-point lead and although there was a reply from Tom Mitchell, England never looked like overcoming such a wide deficit.
Stephan Dippenaar scored South Africa's fifth try but England did at least manage the final score with Dan Norton strolling over the line just before the final hooter.
Senatla leaves the Blitzboks now to join Super Rugby's Western Stormers, doing so on the back of a second straight player of the final award.
He said: "It is incredible. The guys are just magicians, hats off to them, I am just the finisher of the moves.
"It is bitter sweet, we play here with family so it is a pity to be leaving the family but it's a new challenge I am excited for."
South Africa lead the World Series standings on 85 points, some 17 clear of England and 21 ahead of Fiji, who were knocked out 24-21 by New Zealand in the Sydney quarter-finals.
