Sean Fitzpatrick, Michael Lynagh & Thinus Delport pick their team of the tournament

As the 2017 Rugby Championship comes to a close Sean Fitzpatrick, Michael Lynagh and Thinus Delport pick their team of the tournament.

With New Zealand securing a fifth Rugby Championship title in six years, it's no surprise to see that our panel have selected a whole host of Steve Hansen's men in their XV.

Kieran Read, Aaron Smith and Beauden Barrett anchor the world leaders proficiently and are selected to do the same in this team.

Alongside them some of Michael Cheika's standouts that are selected to add flair, power and prowess at the breakdown.

There's room for just one Springbok in the XV and that honour goes to a man that finished the Championship on a high with a head-turning outing against New Zealand in Cape Town.

The panel had decisions to make and discussions to iron out in the back row while the competition's leading try-scorer heading into the final round gets the nod at full-back.
