Connacht have signed Fijian winger Sevu Reece from Waikato for next season.

The 21-year-old was the youngest member of the Provincial Barbarians side that played the British and Irish Lions in their opening tour match last year, having scored seven tries in 12 appearances in the previous season for Waikato.

Reece moved to New Zealand from his native Fiji in 2014 to attend Hamilton Boys' High School.

He will join Connacht after completing the current season with Waikato.

"I will be doing everything I can to bring more success to the province."

Andy Friend, who was appointed Connacht head coach last week, added: "We are delighted to announce that Sevu Reece will be joining Connacht ahead of the 2018/19 season.
