Springbok Eben Etzebeth celebrated his debut as Stormers skipper with a 41-10 triumph over fellow South Africans the Kings on Saturday.
The 25-year-old lock also picked up the man-of-the match award in Port Elizabeth for outstanding work at the line-outs and in the loose.
Etzebeth deputised as captain for fellow international forward Siya Kolisi, who was rested.
"It was an enjoyable experience," said Etzebeth. "I was a little concerned when the Kings scored a try but the team rallied well."
An ultimately comfortable six tries to one bonus-point victory at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium maintained the 100 percent record of the Stormers this season.
In earlier rounds, they won at home against the Bulls of South Africa and the Jaguares of Argentina.
It was the second defeat of the season for traditional whipping boys Kings, who lost at home to the Jaguares and won away to the Sunwolves of Japan.
The Kings scored first through a penalty from fly-half Lionel Cronje but never seriously threatened to beat a South African side for the first time in Super Rugby.
A brilliant try by winger Dillyn Leyds on 16 minutes nudged the visitors into a two-pont lead that grew to 17-3 by half-time.
That advantage stretched to 21 points before Kings had a moment to savour as a clever Cronje grubber kick set up winger Makazole Mapimpi for a try in the corner.
Stormers finished strongly with replacement back Justin Phillips scoring a try and then off-loading for centre EW Viljoen to dot down.
Leyds, winger Bjorn Basson, flanker Rynhardt Elstadt, fly-half Robert du Preez, Phillips and Viljoen were the Stormers try-scorers.
Du Preez kicked two conversions and a penalty and his replacement, Kurt Coleman, slotted two conversions.
Kings total comprised the Mapimpi try and a conversion and penalty from Cronje. The Port Elizabeth side are away to the Sharks next weekend in a South African derby while the Stormers have a bye.
