Owen Farrell again missed training on Tuesday but England remain confident he will be fit to face Scotland this weekend.

The 26-year-old has not fully trained with the rest of England's Six Nations squad since he injured his lower leg in the 12-6 win over Wales two weeks ago.

Farrell has been an ever-present in Eddie Jones' 25 games as head coach, 24 of which England have won.

Ben Te'o started at outside centre alongside Farrell in the opening win over Italy but was dropped in favour of Jonathan Joseph for the visit of Wales.

Te'o is determined to force his way back into the side for the trip to Murrayfield on Saturday, though, and is adamant he could step in at either No 12 or No 13.

Ben Te'o insists he could play at No 12 for England, as Farrell struggles with injury

"Depending on how the game is I think I could slot into any of those slots," Te'o told Sky Sports News. "I wouldn't pencil myself in as one or the other. I just think I'm a centre.

"Maybe I wouldn't have the same skill set as him, there's a lot of other things I think I can bring.
