Leigh Halfpenny, Alex Cuthbert and Mike Phillips all sat out a Wales training session on Tuesday after suffering "bumps".
Wales forwards coach Robin McBryde confirmed the trio missed a contact session as a precautionary measure. All three are expected to recover in time for Wales' penultimate World Cup warm-up game against Ireland on August 29th.
"We had a tough session this morning and they are just feeling the effects of a couple of bumps," he said.
"We didn't feel it was worth risking them this afternoon."
The rest of the Wales squad, including winger George North, played a practice match in front of 4,000 fans at Colwyn Bay's Parc Eirias. North was making his return from injury, having not featured for Wales in almost five months following a series of concussions earlier in the year.
"We haven't risked the boys who we didn't need to risk, but George was out there playing," said McBryde.
"Someone of George's ability is going to be an addition to any squad in world rugby. To have him back fit has given everyone a big boost."
"He (North) has been training really well from day one," added Welsh captain Sam Warburton.
"Physically he is a freak and I never thought he was going to miss the World Cup. He is one of our players with X-factor and, in my opinion, one of the best players in the world. Athletically, he is in fantastic shape now and I am sure we will see the best of George over the next few months."
McBryde also revealed that Scarlets' Liam Williams and Samson Lee are both progressing well in their rehabilitation from injury.
"They are both on schedule," said McBryde.
"Samson has been taking part in scrummaging sessions, not full, but front-row wise. Liam is back on track. He
has done some running on the machine and some weights."
Warren Gatland's side play Italy at the Millennium Stadium on September 5th in their final game before the start of the World Cup, before facing Uruguay at home in their opening Pool A match on September 20th.
