Broster follows Visagie's lead

Ben Broster has joined fellow prop Cobus Visagie in signing a new Saracens contract.

Just days after securing the future of Cobus Visagie, Saracens have tied prop Ben Broster to a new two-year deal.

The 23-year-old has spent the last five seasons at Vicarage Road, coming through the academy to force his way into first team recognition.

This campaign has seen Broster further establish himself as one of the key members of the Sarries side, making 18 appearances in all competitions.

Saracens have endured a tough season to date, struggling in the lower half of the Premiership, whilst suffering early exits from both Cup competitions.

However, Broster sees a bright future at the club, and he was delighted to sign a new deal.

"Saracens are a club I've been with for a number of years, I've grown up playing here and I wanted to stay with my club," confirmed the front row forward.

"We have excellent coaches, a fantastic conditioning team and a great set-up off the field. Despite our recent results, I firmly believe Saracens are a club moving in the right direction and I want be part of a team that is successful moving forward."

Director of rugby Steve Diamond was equally happy with the new agreement, saying: "He has shown in the tough competition that is the Guinness Premiership what he can do and at aged 23, he has a good future in front of him if he works hard and continues to improve."
