Leicestershire have added to their bowling attack by signing seamer Dieter Klein on a deal until the end of next season.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a successful trial spell with the Grace Road club and took two wickets on his debut in Tuesday's Royal London One-Day Cup match against Lancashire.
Klein had already taken a five-for during a Second XI fixture against MCC Universities and that was enough for the South African to secure his immediate future at Leicestershire.
The medium-fast left-armer has built an impressive record in his home country, taking 154 first-class wickets at 25.99 in just 42 outings.
Klein's white ball record is also good and he has taken 34 wickets in List A and T20 cricket combined at an average under 22.
Leicestershire elite performance director Andrew McDonald said: "Dieter comes with a good pedigree and greatly impressed when playing in our Second XI and training with us.
"We're delighted to have him on board to bolster our bowling roster."
Leicestershire have also signed another bowler, Richard Jones, on a two-year deal that will start at the end of the season - he is currently on loan with the county from Warwickshire - while wicketkeeper-batsman Lewis Hill has extended his contract until the end of 2018.
