Great Britain among the 12 seeded nations for Davis Cup in 2019

Great Britain have been confirmed among the 12 seeded nations for the qualifying round of next year's Davis Cup.

Cameron Norrie's win against Sanjar Fayziec in Glasgow at the weekend sealed a 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan in the World Group play-off and ensured Britain's place among the seeds when the revamped competition starts in February.

They are presently ranked fifth, meaning that only Belgium and Argentina, who are respectively fourth and third, are among the seeded teams placed higher.

Serbia, Italy, Germany, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Sweden, Austria, Canada and Japan are the remaining nine.
