Geraint Hughes is the Sports News Correspondent for Sky Sports.
He has reported on many of the biggest sports news stories across the last two decades, covering eight FIFA World Cups across men's and women's football, four European Championships and nine Olympic Games, as well as Rugby World Cups, Ashes tours and Wimbledon tournaments.
Breaking exclusive stories from doping and corruption scandals to politics and gender eligibility, Geraint has interviewed and challenged the most powerful and controversial people in sport, as well as meeting some of the most high-profile athletes, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Usain Bolt.
Before joining Sky, Geraint worked for the BBC. He has been recognised with several awards throughout his career, most recently the Sports Journalists’ Association Summariser of the Year in 2024.
