Biography

Paul Merson is a football pundit for Sky Sports, featuring as a regular panelist on Soccer Saturday for several years.

The former England international also features across Sky Sports' live match coverage and studio shows, and writes a weekly column for Sky Sports' digital platforms.

Merson enjoyed a glittering career in English football, rising through the ranks at Arsenal to make over 400 appearances for the north London club, winning two league titles, the FA Cup, the League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup. He was ranked the 26th greatest Arsenal player of all-time in a fan poll published by the club’s official website in 2008.

Merson, who featured for England at the 1998 World Cup, also represented Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Portsmouth, before having a spell as a manager at Walsall.
