Biography

Rob Dorsett is Sky Sports News’ football correspondent and England reporter, tasked with breaking news and covering some of the biggest stories in the game.

During a Sky career of more than 20 years, Rob has interviewed leading names in sport including Pele, Sir David Beckham and Usain Bolt, and has reported live from the last four men’s major international football tournaments.

Rob has produced investigative documentaries into racism in football and academy player welfare, as well as exclusive features with personalities including Evangelos Marinakis and Andriy Shevchenko.

While Midlands football reporter at Sky, Rob covered Leicester City’s extraordinary Premier League title victory in 2016 and the tragic helicopter crash that killed owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. He was subsequently named the SJA’s Broadcast Journalist of the Year in 2018.

Before joining Sky, he was sports anchor for BBC East Midlands Today and BBC London’s chief news reporter.
